Job Title: Sales Manager – Fire Protection Systems
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team, developing business opportunities, maintaining key customer relationships, and achieving the company's sales and profitability targets within the fire protection systems market.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, proven sales management experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian construction and MEP market.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales Management & Target Achievement

  • Develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly sales strategies.
  • Set sales targets for the sales team and monitor performance against targets.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve revenue, order intake, and profitability objectives.
  • Monitor sales activities, quotations, tenders, negotiations, and order status.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and management reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions when targets are not achieved.

2. Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the fire protection market.
  • Develop relationships with major clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and end users.
  • Identify upcoming projects and tenders and ensure early engagement with potential customers.
  • Develop new accounts while maintaining existing key customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer requirements.
  • Develop strategies to increase the company's market share.

3. Fire Protection Systems & Technical Sales

  • Promote and sell fire protection systems and related products, including:
  • Fire fighting systems
  • Fire sprinkler systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Fire pumps and pump packages
  • Fire suppression systems
  • Clean agent systems
  • Foam fire protection systems
  • Fire extinguishers and fire protection equipment
  • Ensure the sales team has sufficient technical knowledge to present suitable solutions to customers.
  • Review project specifications, BOQs, drawings, and tender requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering and estimation teams to develop technically compliant and competitive proposals.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet applicable project specifications, NFPA standards, and Saudi requirements.

4. Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage, supervise, and motivate the sales engineers and sales team.
  • Assign territories, customers, projects, and sales targets to team members.
  • Monitor individual performance and provide coaching and guidance.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and review the team's pipeline and activities.
  • Develop the technical and commercial capabilities of sales team members.
  • Evaluate team performance and recommend training, incentives, promotions, or corrective actions when required.
  • Ensure team members maintain proper customer follow-up and sales documentation.

5. Tender & Quotation Management

  • Review major tenders and quotations before submission.
  • Coordinate with estimation, engineering, procurement, and management teams to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Review technical and commercial offers and approve them within assigned authority.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations with clients and contractors.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders until award.
  • Ensure proper handover of awarded projects to the project management and execution teams.

6. Key Account Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with major customers and strategic accounts.
  • Regularly visit key clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate with internal departments for timely solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for additional sales, upgrades, maintenance contracts, and repeat business.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with major accounts.

7. Project & Market Development

  • Monitor upcoming construction, industrial, infrastructure, and MEP projects.
  • Develop project-specific sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors during the specification and approval stages.
  • Ensure the company's products and systems are included in project specifications and approved vendor lists where applicable.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.

8. Coordination with Internal Departments

  • Coordinate closely with estimation, design, engineering, procurement, projects, finance, and management teams.
  • Ensure accurate and complete handover of awarded projects.
  • Follow up on order status, delivery schedules, payment collections, and customer requirements.
  • Support the project team in resolving commercial or technical issues related to customers.

9. Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Provide sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management.
  • Monitor team performance and sales conversion rates.
  • Report major project opportunities, competitors, market developments, and risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers, projects, quotations, and sales activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of KSA experience in fire protection systems, MEP, or related technical sales.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a sales management or team leadership position.
  • Strong experience in fire protection systems and equipment sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience dealing with consultants, contractors, developers, end users, and major clients.
  • Strong knowledge of the Saudi Arabian fire protection and construction market.
  • Good understanding of NFPA standards and Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
  • Experience with large commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and/or government projects is preferred.
  • Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.

  • Take responsibility for the performance and development of the sales team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by senior management.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
A commercially strong and technically knowledgeable Sales Manager with extensive experience in fire protection systems, a proven record of achieving sales targets, strong relationships with consultants and contractors, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team in the Saudi Arabian market.
