Veraspec Technical Services LLC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare accurate technical drawings and plans based on engineering specifications, sketches, and project requirements, and will work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to support the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, comments, and markups.
• Interpret sketches, specifications, and technical instructions accurately.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Maintain organized drawing files, records, and project documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and relevant codes or project requirements.
• Check completed drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Support the design and drafting process throughout project phases.
• Produce drawings from concept stage to support project bids, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings for glass orders and other materials.
• Develop material order lists based on approved drawings and project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsperson, Draftsman, or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction or architectural drafting, with a focus on building façade systems.
• Experience with cladding materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, GRC, stone, and GRP.
• Experience with aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls, and glass systems.
• Knowledge of additional CAD software or 3D tools is beneficial.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and drafting practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced project environment.
