The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and growing specialist construction and project consulting company operating in the United Arab Emirates. The company delivers professional construction management, project delivery and specialist consulting services across a range of major construction and development projects.

Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Construction Manager to join its UAE-based team.

The client has a particular interest in attracting high-calibre construction professionals currently working in India who have strong experience managing complex construction projects and are interested in developing their careers in the UAE and wider GCC region.

The Role

The Construction Project Manager / Construction Manager will take responsibility for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.

Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams, the successful candidate will ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction projects through all stages of project delivery.
• Develop and manage construction programmes, schedules and project delivery plans.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and specialist service providers.
• Monitor project progress against programme, budget and agreed milestones.
• Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure construction activities comply with required quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Review contractor performance and ensure work is completed to the required specifications.
• Manage site meetings and coordinate communication between key project stakeholders.
• Prepare regular project progress reports for clients and senior management.
• Support the management of project budgets, costs, variations and commercial issues.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure defects and technical issues are addressed promptly.
• Assist with project commissioning, completion, handover and close-out activities.
• Build strong professional relationships with clients and contribute to the company's reputation for excellent project delivery.

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Construction Project Managers and Construction Managers who are currently based in India and are looking for an opportunity to relocate to the United Arab Emirates.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 8–15+ years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Experience working on significant building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, hospitality or specialist construction projects.
• A strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent knowledge of project planning, scheduling and construction programme management.
• Strong experience in project reporting, risk management and stakeholder communication.
• A strong understanding of quality, health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, RICS or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
