Senior Embedded Systems Lead – Xilinx

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Lead with deep expertise in Xilinx/AMD platforms, embedded C++ development and system-level engineering .

This is a senior, hands-on position for someone who can take ownership of a complex embedded system across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through development guidance, hardware/software integration, testing and final validation.

The successful candidate should be able to hit the ground running on Xilinx-based systems , make architecture-level technical decisions and act as a technical reference for the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full system lifecycle , from initial requirements and specifications through architecture, development, integration and validation.
• Define the overall system and software architecture for complex embedded solutions.
• Develop and lead embedded software activities using C/C++ within Xilinx/AMD-based environments .
• Define the interaction and interfaces between hardware and software components .
• Translate system-level requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation guidance for developers.
• Lead hardware/software integration , troubleshooting and system-level technical resolution.
• Define integration strategies, test environments and verification/validation activities.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, design reviews and mentoring to software engineers.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software and systems engineering teams throughout project delivery.

Required Experience

• Strong professional experience in embedded systems engineering and hands-on C/C++ development .
• Deep practical knowledge of Xilinx/AMD platforms and the ability to work independently within the platform environment.
• Proven experience owning complex embedded projects end-to-end: requirements → architecture → development → HW/SW integration → validation .
• Strong understanding of system architecture and hardware/software interaction .
• Experience with embedded processors, interfaces, communication protocols and system integration.
• Experience working on complex, critical or mission-critical systems .
• Ability to combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership and architectural ownership .
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Defense, military or aerospace systems experience.
• Camera, imaging, vision or video-system integration experience.
• IR, electro-optical or sensor-based systems exposure.
• FPGA/SoC environments and low-level device interfaces.
• Experience with formal Systems Engineering and V&V processes.
