Your mission

• Prepare and analyze monthly management reporting packages and performance reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear business relevance for internal stakeholders.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and providing cause-of-change explanation.
• Develop and refine forecasts by challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and assessing their potential business impact.
• Conduct scenario analyses to support financial planning, evaluate business decisions, and assess potential outcomes under varying assumptions.
• Monitor and report on key SaaS metrics, including ARR, MRR, churn, and burn rate, translating performance data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term planning and long-term strategic decisions.
• Serve as a key sparring partner to the Head of Finance by providing financial insights, challenging assumptions, and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and key business drivers, proactively providing recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
• Partner with department leads to improve financial transparency, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, financial controls, and analytical workflows.
• Take ownership of recurring FP&A activities and deliverables, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

Your profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, or a comparable finance function, preferably in a dynamic or SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models and the key financial and operational KPIs that drive performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and form independent conclusions.
• Strong business acumen combined with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations.
• Experience contributing to reporting, forecasting, and planning processes with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; knowledge of DATEV is considered an advantage.
• Fluent in German and English.
