Product Manager — CTRM Platform (physical oil trading)

We are building the system an international oil-products trader will run its business on: the full deal lifecycle from contract to settlement — pricing against Platts and Argus formulas, costs accumulating across vessels, rail, trucks and storage, invoicing, inventory, hedging. Real money moves on the numbers it produces.

Most of the code is written by coding agents. Delivery capacity is not our constraint — deciding what should exist is. That is this role.

What you own

- You will not receive requirements. You interview traders, operators, economists and financiers, and write the definition of each of those jobs yourself.

- You turn that into a working prototype of the whole system, screens first, with AI drafting nearly everything.

- You own readiness and sprint scope for the product layer: what is ready, what enters a sprint, what ships, what gets cut.

- You say no to the business when no is the right answer, and defend it in the demo with the people who asked for it in the room.

Two audiences you have to hold together: an executive sponsor who will never be a daily user, and daily users who have been asked for their input for six years and watched nothing ship.

What we need

- 5+ years in product management on complex B2B systems — trading, fintech, logistics, ERP; anywhere a wrong number costs someone money

- At least one large system you personally took from nothing to daily use. Not a redesign, not a module in someone else's roadmap, not a pilot that ended at the pilot

- AI as your primary way of working — required, not preferred. Agents draft our specifications, role descriptions, screens and analysis. Your value is direction and verification: framing the problem and catching the answer that is fluent and wrong

- You source information yourself. There is no business analyst upstream of you

- You absorb an unfamiliar domain fast — pricing formulas, Incoterms, demurrage, cost accrual, netback — without losing the detail that turns out to matter

- Fluent Russian; English good enough to run a working session with the client's people

Not for you if you need requirements handed to you and priorities handed to you, your definition of the work ends at the handoff to engineering, "the business asked for it" is your reason for a feature being in the build, or a stakeholder rejecting something they approved two weeks ago would derail you rather than be Tuesday.
