As Manager, HR Industrial Relations, you will lead the development and implementation of the Group's global industrial relations strategy across all business entities. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, HR Compensation & Benefits, you will serve as the subject matter expert for Industrial Relations, providing strategic advice to Business executives, country HR & Business leaders and guiding the wider organisation on all industrial relations matters.
You will proactively identify, assess and mitigate industrial relations risks across our global operations, partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes while supporting organisational objectives and maintaining constructive employee and representative relationships.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop and deliver an over-arching industrial relations strategy for the Emirates Group to effectively manage industrial relations issues across all global entities, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
- Develop and manage frameworks to enable collaboration & knowledge transfer in industrial relations practices across the Group, HR Business Partnership and other key stakeholders, including building capabilities in employment legislation and industrial agreements.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs for managers to enhance their capability in labour relations, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Monitor labour market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to anticipate potential industrial relations issues and recommend proactive measures to address them.
- Report and present critical global industrial metrics, trends, statistics, and initiatives for senior management to mitigate risk, aid informed decision-making and strategic planning, enabling senior leaders to navigate the dynamic industrial relations landscape effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that mitigate labour-related risks.
Qualification
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in human resources management, with a focus on industrial relations in a global, multi-cultural organisation.
- A thorough, demonstrable understanding of labour laws, collective bargaining processes, and union dynamics across multiple jurisdictions, with experience navigating cultural differences and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and influence industrial relations outcomes across diverse cultural and regulatory environments, providing expert counsel to senior leaders and serving as the recognised authority on industrial relations matters across the business. A d egree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field is preferred.
