Product Owner, Murex Integration (Corporate Banking) | UAE | Contract

Contract until March 2027, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Candidates with 2 weeks' notice or less are strongly preferred.

We have partnered with a client building a greenfield corporate and investment bank in the UAE to recruit a Product Owner for Murex integration. Murex MX.3 is the treasury and capital markets platform, and this role owns its integration with the surrounding bank landscape, spanning the enterprise general ledger, the core banking platform and the market data and trading venues. Nothing in treasury can be booked, funded or reported until those interfaces run cleanly and in balance, which makes this a critical-path hire on a build where nothing exists yet.

This is a role for a Murex integration expert with corporate banking exposure, not a front-office configuration specialist. You will co-own the product with the Business Owner, translating treasury, finance and corporate banking requirements into specifications that engineers and implementation partners can build, and owning the target state and sign-off from zero.

About the role:

• Own the Murex integration landscape end to end, covering trade, accounting, cash and static data flows between MX.3 and every system it touches, in both directions
• Own Murex to enterprise general ledger posting, including accounting event capture, sub-ledger treatment, chart of accounts mapping, journal generation and multi-entity, multi-currency treatment
• Own Murex to core banking flows, including cash and settlement instructions, nostro and account movements, customer and account static data, and limits and exposure feeds
• Own market data and trading platform interfaces, including rates, curves, security and issuer static, and trade capture from execution venues into MX.3
• Own the interface specifications and the delivery lifecycle, covering data mappings, file and API contracts, batch windows and sequencing with the Murex EOD, error handling and replay
• Drive the BRD and PRD process through to sign-off, owning the backlog, vendor coordination and steering committee reporting

About you:

• 10+ years of experience, with at least one full MX.3 implementation, migration or major upgrade, and knowledge of the accounting module, MxML Exchange, Datamart and the EOD batch
• Delivered at least one core integration domain end to end, on the bank side or with an implementation partner: enterprise general ledger (Oracle Fusion, E-Business Suite, SAP S/4HANA or equivalent), core banking systems (Temenos, FLEXCUBE, Finastra, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Thought Machine or similar), or market data and trading platforms (Bloomberg, LSEG Refinitiv, 360T, Tradeweb or similar)
• Strong grasp of treasury accounting across FX, money markets, derivatives and fixed income, and how treasury connects to client accounts, cash and settlement in a corporate bank
• Proven product or integration ownership in a build environment, running a backlog and making scope trade-offs 0-to-1 or through a major re-platform
• Able to drive a BRD and PRD process end to end with field-level data mappings across Finance, Treasury, Ops, Risk and Tech alongside vendor teams
• Technically fluent with APIs, file interfaces and batch scheduling, able to read a data mapping and challenge the integrator without needing to code
• IFRS 9, hedge accounting, SWIFT MT and MX, ISO 20022 and UAE or GCC market experience including CBUAE reporting are advantageous
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
