Description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for detail-oriented and safety-conscious Technicians to support our production operations. This role involves manufacturing and repairing highquality composite components by preparing molds, laying up materials, curing parts, and performing finishing and inspection work in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine layup, trim, and assembly requirements.

Prepare molds and tools, apply release agents, and set up materials and inserts for composite layup.

Lay up composite materials (dry fabric or prepreg) into molds, ensuring correct ply orientation, overlaps, and fiber alignment.

Mix resins/adhesives and apply bonding compounds, vacuum bag assemblies, and cure parts in ovens or autoclaves according to specified cycles.

Trim, drill, sand, and finish cured parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances using hand and power tools or CNC equipment.

Assemble composite components into subassemblies, drill for fasteners, and integrate composite parts into larger structures (e.g., aircraft, boats, turbines).

Inspect materials and finished parts for defects, verify dimensions, and document quality results; perform basic repairs on composite defects or damage.

Maintain tools and equipment, perform basic preventive maintenance, and keep the work area clean and safe.

Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals, dust, and pressurized equipment, complying with company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Relevant Nitec/diploma qualifications in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.

Knowledge in composites and airframe repair would be advantageous.

Entry-level applicants will be considered.

Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results.

Proactive and keen interest to learn.

Team player.

Available to work on OT or shift.

Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.

Working Conditions

Exposure to dust, and other airborne materials (with appropriate PPE provided).

May involve overtime or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
