About the client:
Our client is a MNC
Responsibilities:
- Senior Agile Coach to join Agile Practice and Adoption team to support agile transformation of the organization by embracing new ways of working. The successful candidate will be working in a team of Agile Coaches and Data Analysts led by the Agile Practice Lead.
- This role requires technical, business and transformation mastery, and will be pivotal in the long-term success of agile adoption at scale across the organization by playing a major part in streamlining processes and helping our squads to deliver better products in a faster and more efficient manner.
Role Purpose
- Drive value-adding, organisation-wide agile initiatives by coaching leaders and squads, removing systemic impediments, and elevating ways of working across projects and programs. Own pragmatic standards for Jira/Confluence and delivery reporting as supporting enablers—kept lean, governed and data-reliable.
Key Outcomes (Strategic Focus)
- Visible uplift in delivery health and value: improved predictability, shorter cycle/lead times, and clearer dependencies across programs.
- Adoption of consistent, outcome‑oriented agile practices across teams and tribes; demonstrable rise in agile maturity.
- Lean, standardised tooling and reporting that reduce manual effort and reinforce agreed ways of working.
Core Responsibilities
A. Strategic Initiatives & Ways of Working
- Coach and drive squads and key stakeholders to comply with the organisation’s agile systems development methodology and ways of working; advocate agile/lean values and best practices to shift mindset and behaviours.
- Identify organisational impediments and cross‑team dependencies restricting productivity and value delivery; propose balanced initiatives with clear execution plans, owners and success metrics backed by real examples and data.
- Promote continuous improvement: set strategic goals and milestones for squads, projects and programs; measure outcomes and take corrective actions to raise agile maturity.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers, system analysts, technical delivery managers, tribe leads and chapter leads to improve delivery health, quality and value.
- Design and lead targeted enablement—role playbooks, workshops and training—followed by action tracking to ensure lasting impact.
B. Leadership Coaching & Change Enablement
- Mentor product, engineering and delivery leaders to make outcome‑based decisions; facilitate program‑level events and retrospectives that lead to real change.
- Model effective stakeholder engagement, decision‑making and conflict resolution; align diverse functions around shared priorities and measures of success.
- Work across multiple countries, vendors and time zones to ensure consistent adoption and momentum.
C. Scaling & Governance
- Guide pragmatic scaling of agile across the organisation; ensure squad, project and program events run with the right audiences and outcomes.
- Contribute to delivery metrics, surveys, observations, polls and heatmaps for ongoing measurement of performance and maturity, and help teams take corresponding refinement actions.
- Champion data quality and standardisation as a governance lever to sustain improvements.
D. Tooling & Data (Supporting Enablers)
- Own Jira project templates and workflows; maintain issue types, custom fields, screens and permissions with lightweight, governed standards.
- Supervise Confluence space organisation and templates; implement practical access management for safe, efficient collaboration.
- Establish reliable, reusable reporting using JQL and automation; protect data integrity and reduce manual report preparation.
E. AI‑Enabled Practices (Supporting)
- Use enterprise‑approved AI assistants to accelerate documentation, summarise delivery data and produce first‑draft insights with human review.
- Apply sound prompt practices and guardrails consistent with privacy, security and compliance expectations.
Requirements :
- 10+ years in information technology (preferably banking/financial or similarly regulated domains).
- 5+ years managing/delivering software projects using agile approaches across different cultures and environments.
- 5+ years of agile coaching starting from roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner and advancing into coaching; successful track record driving transformation and scaling agile across the organisation.
- 3+ years of people management with strong leadership, emotional intelligence, decision‑making and conflict resolution.
- Experience working with colleagues from different vendors, countries and time zones; consulting experience at major companies is an advantage.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strategic coaching and facilitation across teams, projects and programs; ability to remove systemic impediments and drive measurable improvement.
- Exceptional stakeholder management; clear, concise and professional communication with both functional and technical stakeholders.
- Creation of engaging training materials and delivery of impactful workshops with tracked follow‑through actions.
- Jira and Confluence administration knowledge sufficient to govern standards and data quality (supporting).
- Data & automation (supporting): JQL and Automation for Jira; advanced Excel for analysis (e.g., lookups, pivots, Power Query/Power Pivot); Python or SQL for repeatable data tasks; BI tooling as needed.
Certifications
- Holding multiple advanced‑level agile certifications, including scaling agile.
Non‑Negotiables (Exclude)
- Profiles that have merely existed in agile environments without coaching people or driving measurable change.
- Candidates without evidence of scaling agile beyond a single team.
- Jira end‑users or facilitators with no configuration/governance experience.
Success Indicators
- Demonstrable improvement in predictability, flow and quality at program level within 3–6 months.
- Consistent adoption of agreed agile practices across teams and tribes with measured maturity uplift.
