Senior Analyst (Data Analytics) Central Amsterdam, 2 year Contract, Hybrid Working, International Technology Business.

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Senior Analyst (Data Analytics) to join an international finance team based in central Amsterdam. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology and will help shape how the business uses data to drive commercial and financial decision-making.

You'll act as the bridge between Finance and Data, leading initiatives that improve the quality, accessibility and automation of financial data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can combine strong financial and analytical capabilities with technical data skills (SQL,Python)

Role:

  • Lead finance data transformation initiatives, improving the quality, consistency and accessibility of financial data.
  • Design and deliver automated reporting solutions that reduce manual processes and improve decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance and Business teams to evolve data infrastructure, reporting capabilities and analytics tooling.
  • Own and govern key financial and operational KPIs, ensuring consistent definitions and trusted reporting across the business.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Build scalable dashboards and self-service reporting that provide meaningful commercial insights.
  • Translate business requirements into data solutions, acting as the key liaison between Finance and technical teams.
  • Identify opportunities to automate existing FP&A processes using data and technology.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the company's analytics capabilities, helping establish best practices around data governance and reporting.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing business decisions through data-driven analysis.

You'll be/have:

  • Experience in Group FP&A, Finance Analytics or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and work confidently with large datasets.
  • Python experience for data analysis, automation or process improvement.
  • Experience acting as the bridge between Finance and Data teams.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and experience supporting planning, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
  • Experience improving reporting processes through automation and scalable data solutions.
  • A solid understanding of data infrastructure, data pipelines and modern analytics environments.
  • The ability to navigate evolving or imperfect data environments while maintaining a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into clear business insights.
