Your Job
The candidate will work closely with developers, project managers and end users. Responsibilities include:

Plan, design, develop, execute and document (automated) system integration tests (SIT)

Support of software developers and end users in user & acceptance testing (UAT)

Execution of all test types such as smoke test, regression test, acceptance test, functional/non-functional test, and system performance test

Support the software engineering support with investigations of software defects and performance issues in the Fab 1 manufacturing environment

Create test plans, write automated test suites, report bugs, and create software change requests
-
Participate in component design reviews and usability testing.

Drive and execute an automation-focused test strategy to improve QA processes, effectiveness and thereby reduce test maintenance costs. Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline is required.
-
5+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or related field.

Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), with hands-on experience across multiple phases (design, development, testing, deployment).

Advanced knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, including test strategy definition, risk-based testing, and quality metrics.

Knowledge in functional test case designing, review and optimizing existing test suites.
-
Working knowledge of modern software development methodologies and their impact on testing and release cycles.

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (development, product, operations), including influencing technical decisions related to quality.

Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate in English and German. Preferred Qualifications

Experience using/managing test case and defect tracking tools and reporting functionalities.

Proficiency with test automation tools, especially Ruby scripting (or any scripting).

Experience in semiconductor industry is an added plus.
-
Nice to have ISTQB certification - Foundation level.
