Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrival & Departure Excellence: Warmly greet guests at the entrance within seconds of arrival, using their names and titles whenever possible. Assist with opening car doors and safely unloading or loading luggage.

  • Luggage Management: Ensure the "safe keeping" of all incoming, outgoing, and stored baggage. This includes accurate tagging, organizing the luggage room into Arrival, Departure, and Long-Term sections, and maintaining a clear logbook.

  • Rooming & Orientation: Escort guests to their rooms and provide a professional orientation, explaining room features such as light switches, Wi-Fi, and amenities in an engaging way.

  • Property Ambassadorship: Maintain a constant presence in the lobby to offer assistance. Act as a "storyteller" by sharing knowledge about the hotel's heritage, local attractions, and facilities.

  • Operational Support: Coordinate with the Front Desk, Concierge, and Valet teams to ensure seamless guest transitions. Deliver messages, newspapers, and parcels promptly to guest rooms.

Performance Standards & Requirements

  • Grooming: Uphold impeccable grooming and personal presentation standards aligned with ultra-luxury expectations.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift or push/pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Service Excellence: Adhere to Raffles' Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOP) and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.

  • Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest movements and information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience: Typically at least 1–2 years in a luxury 5-star hospitality environment.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Hospitality Management is often an asset.

  • Skills: Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (for example Arabic) are highly desirable.

  • Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.

  • experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages.

  • Experience in pre-Opening is a must.

  • A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
