Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP Consultancy

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Building Services / MEP Consultancy to join our growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing electrical systems for residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and high-rise developments while ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations and international standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, authority submissions, and technical support of electrical building services projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and high-rise developments.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, load schedules, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and technical reports.
• Develop detailed layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and authority submission drawings.
• Design and coordinate:
• Power Distribution Systems
• Lighting & Emergency Lighting Systems
• Small Power Systems
• Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems
• ELV Systems
• Fire Alarm Systems
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection teams.
• Prepare authority submission documentation and respond to authority comments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA, SEWA, Civil Defense requirements, IEC, NFPA, and applicable international standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Attend client meetings, technical coordination meetings, and project review meetings.
• Provide technical support during construction and site execution.
• Deliver projects within schedule while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Design within Building Services / MEP Consultancy.
• UAE/GCC consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, villa, and high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE Electrical Regulations
• DEWA, SEWA & Civil Defense requirements
• IEC Standards
• NFPA Standards
• Energy Efficiency Regulations
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP
• Dialux / Dialux Evo
• ETAP (or equivalent software)
• Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of authority submissions and engineering coordination.
• Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

• Strong technical background in Building Services / MEP Consultancy.
• Experience handling authority approvals and submissions across UAE authorities.
• Excellent multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
