Software & Hardware Process Assurance

You've spent 8+ years in airborne software quality assurance or hardware process assurance. DO-178C and DO-254 aren't theoretical for you—you've conducted audits that closed certification evidence, owned quality assurance plans that actually work, performed conformity reviews that matter. You understand configuration management and certification evidence at the granular level. You've supported civil aircraft certification programmes through to the line.

You can audit both software processes and hardware lifecycle integrity without breaking stride.

We're building a next-generation electric aircraft. Fly-by-wire. Safety-critical. Certification from the ground up. The programme is early stage and you're joining at the point where quality processes get embedded in engineering DNA from day one.

Your role: own Software Quality Assurance under DO-178C. Develop and manage Hardware Process Assurance under DO-254. Conduct independent process and product audits. Verify compliance against approved plans and lifecycle processes. Perform conformity reviews before certification milestones. Prepare engineering teams for certification audits. Support regulatory authority reviews. Oversee supplier quality. Lead internal readiness reviews. Be the subject matter expert for Development Assurance Quality. Mentor and help build the QA function.

First 90 days:

Software Quality Assurance Plan developed and baselined. Hardware Process Assurance Plan in place. First audit cycle complete. Supplier quality oversight established. Internal readiness review process defined.

By month 12:

Software and hardware processes audit-ready. Certification evidence complete and traceable. Zero conformity gaps at major milestones. Supplier quality programme delivering. QA team structured for growth.

Must have:

8-10+ years airborne software QA, hardware process assurance or development assurance. Practical DO-178C and/or DO-254 knowledge. Civil aircraft certification support. Independent audit experience. Configuration management and certification evidence expertise.

Highly desirable:

DO-178C QA or DO-254 hardware process ownership. ARP4754. AS9100. Part 21 Design Organisation. eVTOL or advanced air mobility. Fly-by-wire systems. FPGA or complex electronic hardware.

Hands-on technical contributor scaling to leadership as organisation grows. Dubai-based. Greenfield aerospace.
