Job description
SENIOR PACKAGING PROGRAM MANAGER
Location: Antwerp / Amsterdam Experience: 8+ years in program/project management, packaging engineering, or consumer product development
BUILD THE PACKAGING BEHIND A GLOBAL PRODUCT BRAND
At Loop, every product tells a story long before someone opens the box. Packaging isn't just protection — it's part of the product experience. From sourcing materials and validating tooling to managing production timelines across global manufacturing partners, packaging plays a critical role in every launch.
As our Senior Packaging Program Manager, you'll own the entire packaging program across our product portfolio. You'll bring structure to complex launches, connect cross-functional teams, and make sure every package is delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality Loop is known for.
THE ROLE
You'll lead packaging programs from concept through production, embedding packaging milestones into every New Product Development (NPD) roadmap while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Design, and external manufacturing partners.
You'll combine strategic program management with hands-on execution, proactively identifying risks, aligning stakeholders, and driving packaging initiatives across multiple product launches simultaneously.
What You'll Do
-
Own and continuously improve Loop's packaging milestone framework across all NPD programs.
-
Build and maintain the packaging roadmap, ensuring timelines stay aligned across multiple product launches.
-
Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Design, Contract Manufacturers, and OEM partners to keep programs moving.
-
Identify risks early across sourcing, tooling, artwork, manufacturing, and production, driving mitigation plans before they become blockers.
-
Manage packaging resources and budgets across concurrent development programs.
-
Provide clear packaging status updates that leadership can confidently use in overall program reporting.
-
Drive consistency, structure, and best practices across all packaging projects.
-
Keep cross-functional teams aligned while balancing speed, quality, and commercial priorities.
You Won't
-
Wait until packaging issues become critical before taking action.
-
Treat packaging as a standalone workstream instead of an integrated part of product development.
-
Lose sight of timelines, quality, or cost when programs become complex.
-
Work in silos without proactively bringing the right people together.
-
Need constant direction to keep projects moving forward.
-
Be satisfied with reactive project management instead of building scalable processes.
How You'll Succeed
You thrive in fast-moving product environments where priorities shift quickly and multiple launches happen in parallel.
You bring clarity to complexity, connecting engineering, operations, suppliers, and leadership while keeping everyone aligned around the same milestones.
You combine structured program management with strong communication, allowing packaging programs to move faster without compromising quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
-
8+ years of experience in packaging, program management, project management, engineering, or consumer product development.
-
Experience delivering packaging for consumer products from concept through mass production.
-
Strong understanding of packaging manufacturing, tooling, material sourcing, and NPI/NPD development processes.
-
Experience working directly with Contract Manufacturers and OEM partners.
-
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
-
Fluent English.
Loop isn't for everyone. We might not be a match if you:
-
Prefer predictable projects over fast-moving product development.
-
Struggle to balance multiple priorities and changing timelines.
-
Wait for problems instead of proactively solving them.
-
Prefer working independently over collaborating across functions and external partners.
-
Find ambiguity uncomfortable rather than an opportunity to create structure.
STILL INTERESTED?
Great. If you're excited about bringing world-class consumer products to life through exceptional packaging execution, working with global partners, and owning one of the most critical parts of every product launch, we'd love to hear from you.
