Job description

As a member of a team providing services to Airbus, you will have the following responsibility:

  • Sizing of structural parts, components and installations made from metal and carbon fiber materials using state of the art analysis tools, FEM techniques and classic handbook methods;

  • Trade off analysis for design solutions and structural concepts;

  • Analysis of mechanical systems and equipment integration;

  • Preparation of analysis reports and statements to support airframe qualification;

  • Assessment of damages and development of repairs for in-service A/C Support to manufacturing and assembly lines and evaluation of concessions and nonconformities;

  • Communication to relevant stakeholders and adjacent departments.

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Aerospace or equivalent, minimum Master's/Diploma degree;

  • Fluency in English, at least business fluent;

  • Fluency in German, at least business fluent;

  • Several years work experience as engineer in aircraft structural analysis is required;

  • Experience in stress analysis of pipe works or impact simulations is seen as a plus;

  • Good knowledge of standard stress analysis methods (e.g. HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young) is mandatory;

  • Solid experience in the application of specific stress analysis and FEM tools (e.g. Nastran, Hyperworks etc.) should be available;

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Proactive attitude and willingness for teamwork with various interfaces to other disciplines.
