Job description

As a member of a team providing services, you will have the following responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into avionics systems;

  • Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and safety-critical software development practices;

  • Perform mission system integration activities on hardware for various projects;

  • Conduct testing, validation, and verification of software to meet aerospace requirements.

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering, minimum Master's or Diplom degree;

  • IT / Information Systems, at least 3 years.

  • Aerospace Engineering, at least 3 years.

  • Proven experience in embedded software development for avionics or aerospace applications is required;

  • Familiarity with avionics standards (e.g., ARINC 653, DO-178C) and safety-critical software development;

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is a plus;

  • Experience in C/C++ and/or Ada and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks) is needed;

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (including resource segregation and drivers);

  • Knowledge of Hardware Architectures (x86, ARM and RISC-V);

  • Experience with CI/CD Methodologies;

  • Self-reliant and systematic way of working;

  • Ability to work in an international team;

  • Communication, networking and team-working ability.
