Job description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join our project team and promote a strong safety culture on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable UAE regulations while supporting the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Monitoring daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE legislation, client requirements, and company policies.

Conducting regular site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness training.

Investigating incidents, near misses, and hazards, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations and corrective actions.

Maintaining HSE records, registers, and documentation.

Supporting supervisors and subcontractors in implementing safe work practices.

Monitoring the use of PPE and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements.

Participating in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities.

Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on HSE matters.

Assisting in the development and review of Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and other HSE documentation.

Promoting continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or an equivalent internationally recognised HSE qualification.

A minimum of five (5) years' relevant onsite HSE experience within the UAE/GCC, preferably on construction, infrastructure, industrial, or utility projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of UAE HSE legislation, industry standards, and best practices.

Strong experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance monitoring.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Strong organisational, reporting, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Valid UAE driving licence (preferred).
