Job description

  • Supervise and coordinate piping installation, fabrication, erection, testing, and reinstatement activities at the project site.

  • Manage piping foremen, pipe fitters, welders, helpers, and subcontractor manpower to ensure efficient execution of work.

  • Monitor progress of piping works and ensure completion within approved project schedules.

  • Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and other disciplines to resolve site-related issues and maintain smooth workflow.

  • Ensure piping installation is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and quality standards.

  • Verify correct materials, pipe spools, valves, fittings, supports, and consumables are available before starting work.

  • Supervise piping fabrication, fit-up, welding, alignment, installation of supports, and mechanical completion activities.

  • Ensure proper execution of piping pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, drying, and reinstatement activities.

  • Monitor welding activities and ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and project welding requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures, client safety requirements, and permit-to-work systems.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety briefings to ensure safe working practices.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain an organized and safe working environment.

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in piping construction activities.

  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, erection, installation, and testing activities.

  • Familiarity with ASME B31.3, API standards, welding procedures, and inspection requirements.

  • Willingness to work in remote locations as required.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

  • Effective communication skills.
