šŸ” About the Role

As an Electrical & Software Design Engineer, you will play a key role within the Design Engineering team in Glinde, working in the department led by Holger Kruse. Due to increasing demands in automation, software development, lifecycle management, and system optimization, we are strengthening our team to continue delivering innovative and reliable solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing electrical systems and software for machine control, coordinating technical requirements, and supporting products throughout their full lifecycle. You will work in an international project environment, collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that technical solutions meet specifications, performance expectations, and regulatory requirements.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

Technical Coordination: Define and align technical requirements for assigned development tasks, ensuring smooth execution from concept to implementation.

Electrical System Design: Develop low-voltage electrical systems for machines, including control systems, drive systems, operator terminals, safety components, and sensors.

Software Development: Design and implement software for machine control systems, visualizations (HMI), and drive technologies.

Project Contribution: Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, working closely with international colleagues and stakeholders.

Lifecycle Support: Support products throughout their entire lifecycle, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.

Optimization: Analyze and improve the electrical and software performance of existing machines and systems.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation to support development, commissioning, and aftercare.

Concept & Technology Evaluation: Conduct studies to evaluate new technologies, architectures, and automation concepts.

Global Collaboration: Contribute to the ā€œGroup for Electronicsā€ across development sites to share knowledge and standardize solutions.

Hands-On & Practical: You enjoy working close to the machine—from development to commissioning and optimization.

Reliable & Detail-Oriented: You ensure accuracy in your designs, software, and documentation, with a strong focus on quality.

šŸŽ“ What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

  • Professional experience with automation systems and commissioning of machines or plant prototypes

  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, or drive systems

  • Experience integrating hardware and software in industrial environments

  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation

  • Strong in both German and English communication skills

  • Experience in international project environments

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and machine safety

  • Experience within the food processing or machinery industry
