Senior Consultant Business Central – Finance & Controlling (human)

As a Business Central Consultant specializing in Finance & Controlling, you will advise our business departments, optimize business processes, and develop future-oriented solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Your responsibilities:

• Consulting, designing, and optimizing business processes in Business Central with a focus on Finance & Controlling

• Supporting international rollouts and multi-company setups, including consolidation structures, intercompany reconciliations, localizations, and country-specific finance requirements

• Conducting gap-fit analyses and translating business requirements into solutions for finance implementations and system enhancements

• Consulting and implementing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing requirements, including dimensions, cost center structures, and intercompany postings

• Designing and implementing financial reporting solutions (Account Schedules / Financial Reports, Power BI, Lucanet, or similar tools)

• Configuring and customizing Business Central in the finance area, including chart of accounts, posting groups, dimensions, workflows, and document layouts

• Creating solution concepts and specifications for further developments while closely collaborating with internal and external BC developers

• Planning and conducting workshops with business departments, key users, and management to analyze processes and define solutions

• Creating documentation, training materials, and delivering training sessions for users, key users, and support teams

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Central Consultant with a proven focus on Finance & Controlling (in-house or consulting partner)

• Very good knowledge of:

  • Business Central standard functionalities and Continia solutions

  • Finance, accounting, controlling, consolidation, and reporting processes

  • BC Finance modules (G/L, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Cost Accounting, Budgets)

• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and/or IFRS as well as GoBD requirements

• Experience mentoring junior consultants or taking ownership of (partial) project responsibilities

• Ability to design pragmatic and sustainable solutions

• Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach – not just a pure consulting role
