Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a strong, detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Dubai.

This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of product quality, build clear test coverage, and help the team release stable marketplace features with confidence.

The right candidate should be comfortable testing a professional marketplace platform with customer and provider mobile apps, admin and operations portals, backend APIs, third-party integrations, payment flows, dispatch workflows, provider management, dashboards, background jobs, and trigger-based workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Own QA across customer apps, provider apps, admin portals, operations workflows, backend APIs, and platform services

Review requirements, workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps before development begins

Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, API, integration, UAT, and release test cases

Build and maintain automation coverage for critical marketplace flows, APIs, admin workflows, payment flows, and regression suites

Test booking flows, provider workflows, dispatch logic, payments, refunds, notifications, cancellations, approvals, and operational edge cases

Validate API behaviour, database updates, logs, third-party integrations, background jobs, system events, and triggers

Work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Operations, and the Head of Engineering to ensure features are properly tested before release

Support release readiness by verifying fixes, running regression cycles, and validating high-risk workflows

Identify quality risks, usability issues, workflow gaps, missing validations, data inconsistencies, and production-impacting scenarios

What We’re Looking For:

6–9 years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, SDET, Test Engineer, or similar role

Strong experience testing mobile apps, web applications, admin portals, backend APIs, and integration-heavy systems

Hands-on experience with automation testing for APIs, web applications, mobile apps, or backend services

Strong understanding of regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, UAT, release testing, and defect management

Experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Postman, REST Assured, Jest, or similar

Good understanding of APIs, databases, logs, queues, event triggers, payment gateways, notifications, and system behaviour

Ability to convert marketplace and operational workflows into clear test scenarios and automation coverage

Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, CI/CD pipelines, test case management tools, and defect tracking

Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, debugging ability, and clear communication skills
