Chief Accountant

Job Summary

Chief Accountant with a proven track record of success to take control of the overall finance function of the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall accounting function and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations.
• Hands on approach with daily involvement in all aspects of the accounting cycle.
• To bring in added value in terms of enhancement of the operation and internal control procedures.
• Always looking to improve the systems and procedures.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, 3 years of which in a senior role.
• Full familiarity and in-depth knowledge with the whole process of financial & management accounting, cash flow forecasting/reporting and budgetary controls.
• Ability to question the numbers with great analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS along with practical knowledge of The Kingdom tax regulations covering VAT, WHT. Zakat and fully familiar with ZATCA requirements.
• Ability to priorities tasks, meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to foresee operational issues and rising to the challenges.
• Strong presentation and communication skills together with report writing skills.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and people management skills.
• An excellent team player.
• Experience with ERP systems and their implementation (Odoo preferable), advanced Microsoft excel skills.
• Experience in dealing with external auditors.
• Fluent in Arabic and English languages.
• Accountancy professional qualification/part qualification preferable.
• Accounting experience in the health/medical sector preferable.
