Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Structural Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, review, and supervision of structural engineering works for construction projects, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, and other structural systems.
The role involves ensuring that all structural designs and site activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, quality standards, and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include performing structural calculations and analysis, reviewing design documents and shop drawings, supervising site execution to ensure alignment with approved designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting construction activities, resolving technical issues, preparing technical reports, and ensuring the structural integrity and safety of the project throughout all phases.
Qualifications
- Saudi National (MUST)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- 10–12 years of professional experience in structural engineering and site supervision within the construction or engineering consulting industry
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, foundations, and structural analysis
- Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, AISC, ASTM, and other relevant structural codes and standards
- Proven experience in structural design, reviewing shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction documents
- Proven ability to supervise site execution and provide technical direction to contractors and site teams
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Good command of English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and engineering excellence
