Job description

Primary objective:

To ensure the smooth operational running of the schools, with specific responsibilities for physical resources including textbooks, stationery, classroom materials, and reprographics. To support the resource requirements as they arise, determined by the operations & office manager and school principal.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Organisation and delivery of textbooks, notebooks, and general deliveries in the schools.
  • Organisation and stock taking of the schools Stationery supplies, including the communication of orders needed. 2 weeks notice is required for the timely arrival of supplies.
  • Assist staff throughout the working day.
  • To be contactable by the operations & office manager and members of the senior leadership team.
  • Support with printing and lamination class work and display work, as required by the operations & office manager.
  • Support the organisation and upkeep of storage spaces in the schools, so that they are very orderly and very well kept.
  • Support the teachers in the maintenance and upkeep of the corridor displays, as required.
  • Daily check-in with the operations & office manager, to identify priorities for the day, to be scheduled by the operations & office manager.
  • Undertake additional duties as and when required by the line manager.

Safeguarding:

  • The post holder will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. They will directly support the designated safeguarding lead as a priority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at the school.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree (desirable).

Experience:

  • +1 year in a similar role.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Fluency in spoken English and Arabic is essential to this role.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Able to work under pressure and have strong time management skills, in a very busy work environment.
  • Ability to organise, plan and prioritise effectively.
  • To be able to maintain very orderly work environments.
  • Data analysis skills, with IT proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in day-to-day work.
  • The prerequisite numeracy skills for a role involving stock taking and related actions.
  • Patience in undertaking some repetitive tasks.
  • Reliability and trustworthiness, with a strong attendance and punctuality record.
