Steel Erection Engineer

Job Summary

LITCO Group is seeking an experienced Steel Erection Engineer to join our team for structural steel projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring steel structure erection and installation activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in steel structure erection, lifting operations, site coordination, subcontractor management, and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities

Steel Erection & Site Execution

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate structural steel erection and installation activities.
• Ensure steel structures are erected according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor erection sequences and installation methodologies.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, cranes, and erection resources.
• Ensure erection activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Verify alignment, plumbness, elevations, and positioning of structural steel members.
• Monitor site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.

Lifting & Installation Activities

• Coordinate lifting operations and erection activities.
• Review lifting plans and erection methodologies.
• Ensure safe lifting and handling of structural steel members.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor critical lifts and installation activities.

Inspection & Documentation

• Coordinate MIR and WIR/WMR inspections.
• Participate in steel erection inspections with consultants and clients.
• Ensure inspection approvals are obtained before proceeding with subsequent activities.
• Maintain erection records, reports, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for quality compliance.

Subcontractor Management

• Supervise subcontractors performing erection activities.
• Monitor subcontractor productivity and performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Resolve site issues and technical challenges affecting progress.

Safety & Quality Compliance

• Coordinate with HSE personnel to ensure safe execution of work.
• Ensure compliance with approved erection procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor quality requirements throughout installation activities.
• Support quality inspections and corrective actions when required.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong experience in steel structure erection and installation projects.
• Experience supervising steel erection crews and subcontractors.
• Experience coordinating lifting operations and site execution activities.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of steel erection methodologies and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings.
• Familiarity with MIR/WIR processes and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of QA/QC requirements and construction standards.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with inspectors, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay: ﷼7,000.00 - ﷼9,000.00 per month
