We are looking for a new team member in the role as

Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d)- 100%

Location : Mezzovico (TI), Switzerland

Type of Contract : temporary employment (12 months)

Start date: in alignment with the candidate’s availabilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a reference point within cross-functional teams for topics related to surface treatments
  • Knowledge of surface treatment processes (e.g. anodizing, electropolishing, passivation, sandblasting, tumbling, packaging)
  • Proactive mindset with a strong ability to take initiative and find effective solutions
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry, materials science, and/or industrial processes
  • High flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks
  • Basic experience in a production environment or similar industrial context
  • Support to production activities, including the preparation of production guidelines and standard procedures
  • Capability to develop new processes for new product introduction
  • Ability to perform measurements on test components
  • Support management of Non-Conformances (NC) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures
  • Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Perform and support engineering studies to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, including process flow analysis, time studies, capacity evaluation, and identification of improvement opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Provide daily engineering support for production, including troubleshooting of process and data-related issues
  • Support process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure proper documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, IT) to ensure robust and compliant manufacturing processes
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), process transfers, and system/data setup
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, GMP, GDP, and applicable regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA)

YOUR BACKGROUND/SOFT SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s in chemical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Strong teamwork skills and collaborative attitude
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a regulated environment (medical device/pharma preferred)
  • Analytical mindset with strong data analysis capabilities
  • Curious, self-driven, and autonomous in decision-making, with the ability to evaluate pros and cons
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems
  • Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and/or MES systems is a strong advantage
  • Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus
