Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of our facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in facility management, hotel operations, hospitality, or healthcare facility operations. Candidates with a hotel management/hospitality background are highly preferred, particularly those with experience managing housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, front-of-house services, and overall facility standards.

The Facility Manager will ensure that the facility is safe, clean, well-maintained, efficient, and provides a high standard of service to patients, visitors, staff, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall day-to-day facility operations and ensure smooth functioning of the premises.
  • Oversee housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, security, waste management, and support services.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall facility appearance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external contractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil works, lifts, fire systems, generators, and other building services.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed on time.
  • Monitor facility equipment, assets, utilities, and infrastructure and ensure proper upkeep.
  • Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers, including performance monitoring and contract coordination.
  • Obtain quotations and coordinate procurement of facility-related services, supplies, and equipment as required.
  • Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure adequate staffing, duty schedules, cleaning procedures, and quality checks.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of general, clinical, and other facility-related waste in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Coordinate security, access control, emergency preparedness, fire and life-safety systems, and other facility safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or operational issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of complaints and facility-related concerns from patients, visitors, employees, and management.
  • Monitor utility consumption, including electricity, water, HVAC, and other resources, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Maintain appropriate records, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, contracts, licenses, and facility documentation.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, and service providers when required.
  • Support facility-related requirements for accreditation, inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement facility policies, SOPs, checklists, and operational standards.
  • Establish service standards similar to hotel/hospitality best practices to enhance the overall patient and visitor experience.
  • Lead, supervise, and evaluate facility support staff and ensure appropriate staffing and training.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, breakdowns, and other operational issues.
  • Prepare regular facility performance reports and provide recommendations to management for improvement.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in facility management, hotel operations, hospitality, healthcare, or a similar environment.
  • Hotel/hospitality management experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience in managing housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, contractors, and facility support services.
  • Experience working in a hospital, clinic, hotel, serviced apartment, or large commercial facility is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of facility maintenance, health and safety, fire safety, cleaning standards, and general building operations.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and respond effectively to urgent situations.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with attention to cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management/maintenance systems is an advantage.
