Role: Heavy Equipment Workshop Incharge

The Heavy Equipment Workshop Incharge is the Engineer resposnible for ‘Repairs, Reconditioning

& Overhauls’ of all Vehicle & Equipment for Crushers, Transport & Sites. He is responsible for the

management and operation of the workshop that will be providing all kinds of periodic, preventive,

breakdown & recon maintenance to all Crusher Heavy Equipment. He will ensure the quality &

efficiency of all works within workshop and sites.

The Heavy Equipment Workshop Incharge needs to be a person with engineering background,

capable of supervising, monitoring and effectively delegating work as per the priorities. He has to

actively involve in troubleshooting and quality assurance of all jobs. He needs to be with strong

leadership & communication skills, ensuring an timely readiness for the planned works.

This is to inform you that your detailed job description & duties include, but not limited to are:

· To manage overall operations of the Major Repairs Workshop for Crusher, Readymix &

Transport Operations - Fujairah. This includes all Heavy equipment, Tractorheads, Trailers,

Generators, Tankers, Concrete machinery and other misc vehicles.

· To ensure accurate execution of all jobs of overhauls, major rehab, recon, testing and

rebuild.

· To have all periodic & preventive maintenance done by designated procedures, checklists

and systems prescribed by the OEM’s.

· To restore all components & machinery under rehab to OEM specifications.

· To manage all resources (manpower, machines, material, time) to the optimum to ensure

maximum productivity of the machinery & manpower.

· To enforce an environment of repairs & reconditioning, against replacement for parts &

assemblies, wherever applicable. Estimating major repairs & comparing with 2nd hand,

reconditioned or new components for cost effective solutions.

· To control all costs related to the department, as well jobs to the optimum and ensure cost

effectiveness for each activity.

· Conduct inspections to ensure quality of work is maintained to stringent OEM standards & to

avoid & minimize redo & repeated works.

· To enforce an efficient job management system for all maintenance jobs by Jobcards for

each work and ensure proper invoicing on daily basis.

· To communicate & co-ordinate within Operations offices & head office, on all matters

related to maintenance, manpower and machinery. To report to the management for all

kind of activities by designated reports.

· To manage & maintain a healthy inventory of parts, items, materials by advices & requests to

the Purchase Dept. and Stores.

· To periodically evaluate manpower & conduct performance appraisals of employees under

his supervision.

· To take measures for training & skills development in coordination with Technical Head &

HR Dept.

· To manage all administrative issues related to department and to ensure total compliance to

the company policies & systems at all levels.

· Co-ordinate with admin & accounts for feeding of complete jobs data in ERP system for

efficient accounting.

· To take steps for stoppage of misuse or abuse of vehicles & equipment of the fleet. To

appraise operations & transport divisions of the same for necessary corrective actions.

· Interview, test and hire skilled mechanical & electrical manpower for the division. Off-hire

the non-performers.

· Represent the company with high moral standards at all times.

· To be managing round-the-clock activities. Especially to comply to the production & delivery

schedules.
