About the Role

Build the architecture behind the future of digital recruitment.

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to play a key role in shaping the technical future of Imploy , a growing digital platform connecting talent and employers.

This is more than a traditional architecture role. You will work hands-on with a live production platform , making high-impact decisions across software architecture, data, cloud infrastructure, and AI while helping transform the platform into a scalable, secure, and reliable technology ecosystem.

You will have the opportunity to influence how the platform evolves—from its core data model and cloud architecture to AI capabilities, search, scalability, security, and engineering practices.

What You’ll Own

• Define the target architecture and technical roadmap for the Imploy platform.
• Lead architectural decisions across applications, data, cloud infrastructure, and AI services.
• Design and evolve a Canonical Data Model and lead data migration within a live production environment.
• Help establish a scalable and standardized job and occupation taxonomy using frameworks such as ESCO, ISCO, O*NET, or SOC.
• Shape technology standards and design patterns across .NET, Microsoft Azure, web, and mobile applications .
• Strengthen engineering practices including CI/CD, environment management, versioning, and deployment .
• Establish architecture documentation, technical standards, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) .
• Build data foundations that support product intelligence, search, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Champion Security by Design , data privacy, data localization, PDPL compliance, and responsible third-party data governance.
• Evaluate architectural initiatives based on their technical impact, complexity, cost, and business value.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Cybersecurity teams across Riyadh and Cairo.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and help engineering teams make sound architectural decisions.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in software architecture.
• Proven experience designing and scaling high-traffic digital platforms, marketplaces, or consumer-facing products.
• Strong hands-on experience with production systems and large-scale data environments.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture and data modeling , including data migration and system modernization.
• Strong experience with .NET and cloud architecture , preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release management, and modern engineering practices .
• Strong understanding of security, privacy, data governance, and scalable system design.
• Ability to influence and lead technical initiatives across engineering teams without relying on direct reporting lines.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.

It’s a Plus If You Have

• Experience in HR Tech, Recruitment, Marketplace, or Digital Platforms .
• Experience working with AI/ML services in production .
• Familiarity with ESCO, ISCO, O*NET, or SOC classification standards.
• Knowledge of PDPL or similar data privacy regulations.
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams across multiple locations.
