Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Joinery Estimator to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will analyze architectural drawings, millwork specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ) to prepare accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for high-end joinery, custom woodwork, and fit-out projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Quantity Surveying: Perform detailed quantity take-offs for bespoke joinery, cabinetry, wall paneling, doors, fixed/loose furniture, and architectural metal/glass integration.
• BOQ & Tender Preparation: Prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ), standard rate breakdowns, and detailed tender submissions aligned with client requirements and tender deadlines.
• Material & Production Costing: Calculate costs for raw materials (hardwoods, veneers, MDF, ironmongery, finishes) and factory production labor hours, machining, spraying, and site installation.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Procurement: Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate competitive quotes from specialized material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving alternatives in materials, joinery construction methods, and hardware without compromising quality or design intent.
• Risk & Variation Analysis: Review tender conditions, contract clauses, and scope boundaries to identify financial risks; manage variation orders for ongoing projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with design teams, production managers, project managers, and procurement to ensure estimates align with factory capabilities and site realities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Joinery Estimator in the UAE / GCC market, specifically within custom millwork, high-end interior fit-out, or luxury hospitality/residential projects.
• Technical Expertise: Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, CAD files, shop drawings, and technical specs. Deep knowledge of joinery construction techniques, wood species, veneers, hardware, and finishing processes (PU, NC, lacquer).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas), AutoCad, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or specialized ERP systems).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UAE supplier networks, local labor rates, and market pricing dynamics.
• Languages: Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
