Credit Controller

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller – Credit Insurance to join a leading Chemical distribution company in the Middle East.

Note: This is an immediate-joining role. Candidates who are available to join immediately or within a very short notice period will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s credit control and accounts receivable portfolio.

• Assess customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits and payment terms .

• Manage credit insurance policies, insured credit limits, customer approvals and renewals .

• Liaise with credit insurance providers regarding credit-limit approvals, reductions, cancellations and claims .

• Monitor customer exposure, overdue payments, aging and DSO performance .

• Identify high-risk accounts and take proactive measures to minimize credit and bad-debt exposure .

• Handle credit insurance claims related to customer default, insolvency or non-payment.

• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Commercial and Logistics teams regarding credit approvals and order releases .

• Follow up on overdue receivables and resolve customer disputes relating to invoices, pricing, deliveries and documentation.

• Prepare credit-risk, AR aging, collection, exposure and insurance reports for management.

• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and credit-insurance requirements.

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of experience in Credit Control / Credit Risk / Accounts Receivable.

• Strong hands-on experience in Credit Insurance is essential.

• Strong understanding of customer credit assessment, credit limits, collections, DSO and aging analysis .

• Experience managing high-value customer accounts and significant credit exposure .

• Knowledge of credit insurance claims and working with international credit insurers.

• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
