About the Opportunity
We are supporting a leading international biopharmaceutical organization in the search for a Senior Analytical Scientist to join a laboratory-based team focused on biologics and process improvement activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analytical scientist with a strong background in protein characterization, chromatography, and bioanalytical testing to contribute to innovative manufacturing and development projects within a highly regulated GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of samples generated from manufacturing process improvement activities.
- Execute and troubleshoot liquid chromatography methods, including system setup, sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation.
- Conduct immunoassays and protein quantification analyses.
- Review, evaluate, and statistically interpret analytical data.
- Compile analytical results into technical reports and study summaries.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity compliance.
- Support analytical instrumentation maintenance, qualification, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
- Investigate analytical anomalies and identify root causes.
- Participate in method development, qualification, optimization, and transfer activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with HPLC / UHPLC techniques.
- Expertise in chromatographic methods, particularly SEC (Size Exclusion Chromatography) and Reverse Phase Chromatography .
- Experience with ELISA and other immunoassay techniques.
- Experience analysing biologics, proteins, or other complex biomolecules.
- Strong data analysis and scientific interpretation skills.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience with glycoproteins, glycosylation analysis, or protein characterization.
- Experience supporting process development or comparability studies.
- Knowledge of analytical method validation and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Chromeleon, Empower, JMP, or similar analytical software.
- Exposure to LC-MS or advanced biomolecule characterization techniques.
