Intern, Analyst (Dry Bulk Commercial)

Job Summary

As part of AI adoption, develop AI workflows to automate generation of daily and weekly market reports. Further, develop standardized AI based workflows and templates for commodity flow research.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain market dashboards in Power BI and Excel tracking freight rates, vessel supply, and commodity flows.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for management readings and strategy discussions, supported by ad-hoc research on market trends and demand signals.
• Read and synthesise industry reports into concise market summaries.
• Maintain structured data sets and tracking models for drybulk market metrics.
• Prepare weekly and daily market reports for internal circulation.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors in Maritime Studies
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong interest and proficiency in AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preference for candidates with experience in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
