Senior Sustainability Quantitative Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sustainability Quantitative Analyst to lead the development and enhancement of proprietary sustainability research frameworks and analytical models. The role sits at the intersection of sustainability, quantitative research, and investment innovation, playing a critical role in delivering differentiated insights that address evolving client needs and support investment decision-making.

As a key partner to investment teams, clients, regulators, and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will help advance the firm's sustainability capabilities by integrating climate, biodiversity, nature-related, and broader sustainability considerations into research, portfolio construction, risk management, stewardship activities, and product innovation.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in sustainability topics, particularly climate transition, carbon emissions, biodiversity, and nature-related risks, with strong quantitative, data science, and programming skills.

YOUR ROLE

  • Lead the development and continuous enhancement of the firm's proprietary sustainability research frameworks and analytics.
  • Develop and refine quantitative methodologies, including Implied Temperature Rise (ITR) models and other climate- and nature-related indicators.
  • Design, test, and maintain proprietary sustainability signals, scores, metrics, and investment models.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and monitor data from external sustainability, climate, and biodiversity data providers.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, governance, and robustness of sustainability datasets and analytical outputs.
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability topics, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and investment teams to translate sustainability research into actionable investment insights.
  • Support the integration of sustainability considerations into investment processes, portfolio management, and risk frameworks.
  • Partner with engineering and technology teams to enhance the data infrastructure supporting climate, emissions, biodiversity, and nature-related analytics.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to communicate the firm's sustainability research, methodologies, and investment approach.
  • Represent the firm externally in client meetings, industry initiatives, conferences, and regulatory discussions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the firm's responsible investment and sustainability strategy.
  • Provide thought leadership on sustainability-related investment topics and lead the sustainability research agenda.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 7+ years of experience in asset management, sustainable investing, ESG research, quantitative research, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in climate transition analysis, carbon emissions data, biodiversity, nature-related risks, and sustainable investing.
  • Proven experience developing analytical frameworks and quantitative models for investment applications.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and modern data analysis libraries.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, data pipelines, and sustainability data providers.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, risk management, and investment processes.
  • Familiarity with key sustainability frameworks and standards, including TCFD, TNFD, PCAF, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and Net Zero initiatives, is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across research, investment, data, technology, and client-facing teams.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Based in Geneva or willing to relocate.
