ELV Engineer & Technician – SIRA Certified

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ELV Engineer & Technician with strong hands-on experience in SIRA-compliant security systems. The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for ELV and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission CCTV, Access Control, ANPR, Intercom, and other ELV systems.

Carry out SIRA-compliant CCTV installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Conduct site surveys and understand project drawings, layouts, and technical requirements.

Configure IP cameras, NVRs, VMS, network switches, storage, and monitoring systems.

Troubleshoot camera communication, recording, networking, storage, and system-related issues.

Install and configure Access Control systems, including controllers, readers, locks, exit buttons, and software.

Install and troubleshoot ANPR/LPR systems, barriers, loops, and related equipment.

Prepare testing and commissioning reports and assist with SIRA inspection requirements.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and SIRA-related teams when required.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and attend technical call-outs.

Identify system faults and recommend required repairs, replacements, or upgrades.

Provide technical support to customers and coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers when required.

Maintain proper documentation, equipment records, and service reports.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of ELV and security systems.

Hands-on experience with Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha/Wisenet, or similar CCTV systems.

Knowledge of NVR/VMS, IP networking, PoE, TCP/IP, VLAN, and basic network troubleshooting.

Experience with Access Control and ANPR systems.

Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and ELV layouts.

Knowledge of SIRA requirements and compliance procedures in Dubai.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and coordinate with site teams.

UAE driving license is an advantage.

Education & Experience

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, IT, or related field.

2–5 years of UAE/GCC ELV experience preferred.

SIRA certification/approval or relevant SIRA project experience is preferred.

Experience in commercial, residential, hotel, or high-rise projects is an advantage.
