Data Protection Director

Job Objective:

Supervising, planning, and directing all programs, activities, and technical work for data protection and organization at the institutional and organization levels, working to implement the latest digital data protection systems to provide a safe, sound, and secure environment for data exchange, dissemination, and availability, and supporting the customer experience according to the highest levels of reliability and transparency, ensuring compliance with the legislative and regulatory requirements of the emirate, in coordination at all local and federal levels, contributing an active role in creating strategic added value for data and raising the happiness of data users to the best possible levels, and building partnerships with institutions and entities related to the field of data protection and organization at all levels, in a way that supports the emirate's competitiveness as the best digital experience at the global level..

Tasks and responsibilities

Strategy:

• Working with the CEO to ensure the success of the department's work and to achieve the vision and strategy of the organization and the organization at the emirate level
• Contributing a key role in shaping and developing the vision, mission, values and strategy of the organization and the agency, and translating strategic objectives into strategic plans , projects, initiatives, and work programs that cover all areas of management within the organization
• Supervising the preparation and development Digital policies and strategies and anticipating the future of data protection and regulation at the level of the Organization and the Emirate , laws, policies and regulations related to the work of the administration and its competencies

Technical:

• Assuming responsibility for planning, controlling, and supervising the management of all data protection and organization activities and operations, and ensuring compliance with prevailing laws and regulations in accordance with best practices. Standards, general and strategic directions of the Organization and the Emirate of the Emirate
• Providing consultations, suggestions, and innovative digital initiatives that would enhance the readiness and efficiency of data protection and regulation systems at the institutional and organizational level
• Ensuring a safe, healthy, and legal working environment for digital data, products, and services at the enterprise and organization levels, and taking the necessary measures in accordance with the approved legislative and regulatory frameworks
• Supervision and guidance in conducting benchmarking comparisons of the latest trends Global practices in data protection and regulation , identifying available technical opportunities and areas To benefit from it
• Ensuring that all government entities are provided with technical advice And the necessary awareness to meet the data protection and regulation requirements specified at the level of the Organization and the Emirate of the Emirate
• Overseeing the application of the best leading digital technologies and tools in the fields of Data protection and organization And to extract the necessary insights to achieve economic and social added value at the emirate level
• Supervision and guidance of all research and development procedures to implement the latest methodologies, processes and advanced technologies in protecting and organizing data at the level of the Organization and the Emirate
• Monitoring and ensuring the maintenance of the compliance scorecard for data protection legislation and laws for all entities in the Emirate, its commitment and maintenance, and identifying indicators and signs of exposure to potential digital breaches and risks
• Supervising the management of data protection and organization programs and working on Developing and implementing specialized digital programs for the protection and regulation of qualitative data , including mechanisms for controlling data access and encryption .
• Supervising all processes for receiving and analyzing complaints related to data and information violation or misuse, conducting the necessary investigations, and taking corrective actions to resolve them. To protect the affected stakeholders.
• Full supervision of the determination of standards and specifications for the quality and efficiency of data protection and organization systems provided by the institution at the emirate level
• Supervision and guidance on the preparation of guidelines, manuals and programs related to best practices to meet data protection regulations at the organization and emirate level
• Continuous evaluation of the reality of data protection and regulation work at the level of the institution, organization and emirate, and its conformity to the best international technical measurements and standards
• Issuing the necessary directives on correspondence, reports and memoranda received from internal entities at the level of the institution, the organization and affiliated entities, and external entities at the level of the emirate
• Holding periodic meetings with the directors of organizational units to discuss the latest developments in workflow, achieving the goals of the sector / institution, and issuing the necessary directives regarding them

Qualifications and Experience

Academic qualification

Years of experience (minimum)

Bachelor's degree in ( Data Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science ) A and B Any specializations related to the field of work.

( 12 ) years of practical experience, including at least (6) years in supervisory positions

Master's degree in ( Data Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science ) A and B Any specializations related to the field of work.

10 ) years of practical experience , including at least (5) years in supervisory positions

PhD in ( Data Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science ) A and B Any specializations related to the field of work.

( 8 ) years of practical experience, including at least (4) years in supervisory positions

Certificates / Programs

• Certificates and specialized programs in data protection management, data processing, data protection systems, modern methods in data protection applications, standards and methodologies for data protection and organization, preparation of specialized studies and research, modern methods in data science, data governance, drawing up data protection processes, data risk management, preparation of financial studies and feasibility studies
• Specialized technical certifications ( Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) - Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE )
• Certificates and specialized programs in the use of computer systems and programs in analysis, evaluation and extraction of results, conducting and analyzing surveys and opinion measurements
