Join our Operations team and gain hands-on exposure to the end-to-end process of ready-mix concrete production, order coordination, logistics planning, and supply chain operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn how production, dispatch, inventory management, and customer fulfilment come together to support thousands of cubic metres of concrete deliveries every day.

What You'll Be Doing

Production Operations

Assist with daily production sampling activities in accordance with quality and production control requirements.

Support the recording and reporting of raw material receipts at batching plants.

Learn the concrete batching process and production workflow.

Logistics & Dispatch

Gain exposure to order receiving and dispatch operations at the Central Command Centre.

Learn how customer orders are planned and scheduled to ensure timely deliveries.

Assist in coordinating production and delivery requirements for various order sizes.

Planning & Inventory Management

Learn how truck turnaround times are estimated for large-volume orders to optimise fleet deployment.

Assist with stock-taking and monitoring of raw material usage and inventory levels.

Support inventory reconciliation and operational reporting.

Hong Leong Asia Ltd.’s Building Materials unit (BMU) is one of the largest suppliers of essential building materials to the construction industry of Singapore. BMU sells all grades of ready-mixed concrete out of seven separate locations in Singapore. It is also the largest producer of precast concrete elements for public housing construction, all of which are fabricated in its factories in Singapore and Senai, Malaysia.

BMU imports and distributes cement in Singapore and also operates a granite quarry in Johor, Malaysia. BMU is reputable for the quality of its products, and for the reliability in its deliveries. The proof of this can be seen in the many buildings and infrastructure
