Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Manager/Manager for the Group Investment Office. This role will work closely with the team to develop investment strategies and asset allocation recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with team to develop investment strategies and asset allocation recommendations.
  • Perform top-down sector analysis to understand industry specific drivers, assess competitive landscape, evaluate opportunities and risks.
  • Perform bottom-up selection through detailed analysis of investment opportunities in public equities, special situations, start-ups, and fund managers.
  • Develop/maintain financial models to derive valuation and ascertain drivers of returns
  • Prepare succinct investment memos and presentations to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive transaction execution, including negotiating and reviewing of legal documents alongside legal team
  • Potentially assist in wider group initiatives, such as divestures and/or investments from an operating/strategic perspective
  • Stay abreast of portfolio company specific developments, market trends, and regulatory changes that may affect investment portfolio.
  • Assist with ongoing internal portfolio reporting needs.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Candidates with relevant experience will be given consideration regardless of field of study.
  • 5-8 years of experience in areas demonstrating research (ie., equity research) or transactional/advisory experience (ie., PE/VC, investment banking, consulting, business development)
  • Analytical mind and willingness to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for learning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in corporate finance concepts
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
