Communication, Production and Outreach Coordinator

Overview:

The role covers the coordination and delivery of communication, production and outreach activities for the entire ESA Education Programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing online and offline communication channels, supporting communication campaigns, coordinating the production, storage and distribution of outreach materials, and contributing to the promotion of ESA Education activities across Europe. Working closely with ESA teams, external providers and international stakeholders, the role supports the visibility, engagement and impact of ESA Education programmes and initiatives.

General tasks to be performed:

• Prepare and maintain documentation, procedures, reports, statistics and lessons learned documentation.
• Coordinate activities with ESA stakeholders, external partners, suppliers and service providers.
• Support procurement, contractual, administrative and data protection activities when required.
• Contribute to meetings, conferences, outreach activities, workshops and educational events.
• Maintain collaboration platforms, communication tools, shared workspaces and mailboxes.
• Support the collection and reporting of programme statistics, participation data and impact assessments.
• Collaborate across ESA Education activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing programmes and services.

Specific tasks to be performed:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies and communication campaigns for the ESA Education Programme.
• Manage and promote ESA Education websites, social media channels and other digital platforms, ensuring content accuracy, quality and consistency.
• Create, edit and publish communication content for web, social media, educational resources, presentations, videos and promotional materials.
• Coordinate the planning, tracking and reporting of communication activities using ESA-approved tools and platforms.
• Support the development and maintenance of online platforms and contribute to digital improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate communication activities with external providers, including content production, graphic design, translations and multimedia materials.
• Develop and coordinate graphical, promotional and outreach materials for educational, communication and event purposes.
• Manage communication support for competitions, campaigns, events and outreach initiatives, including logistics and promotional materials.
• Coordinate the production, storage, inventory management and shipment of outreach and promotional materials.
• Support ESA Education participation in communication, outreach and inspirational events from a logistics and production perspective.
• Liaise with ESA Corporate Communication and external partners to maximise visibility and engagement of ESA Education activities.
• Manage requests received through communication channels, mailboxes and social media platforms.
• Contribute to the development of new outreach initiatives, communication products and engagement activities.

To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required:

• Master degree, or equivalent, combined with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in digital communication, outreach and engagement activities.
• Experience managing websites, social media channels and online communication platforms.
• Experience developing and coordinating communication campaigns.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, suppliers or external partners.
• Experience in international and multicultural environments.
• Project management skills and experience.
• Strong writing, editing and content creation skills.
• Good communication skills, verbal (in public and during formal meetings) and written.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of another Member State language is an asset.
