About this role

Your mission

You will play a key role in the development & integration of Hydrogen Powertrain technologies in a variety of aerospace applications. You will be part of a highly motivated team working in a fast-paced environment delivering pioneering engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical authority for system and component test planning, execution, and reporting, while fostering innovative and creative solutions that meet aviation certification and safety standards.
  • Strong working knowledge of aviation testing standards.
  • Develop and document test plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for HAPSS subsystems, including fuel cells, power electronics, thermal, and control systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain test rigs, benches, and instrumentation required for component and system-level testing.
  • Execute test campaigns, capture and analyze test data, and prepare test reports in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Support failure investigations and root cause analysis based on test data and observed anomalies.
  • Contribute to technical review gates and certification test readiness reviews.
  • Ensure test traceability to system requirements and support verification & validation closure.
  • Provide onsite support during HAPSS partner & suppliers’ testing efforts.
  • Coordinate with electrical, control, mechanical & hydrogen system suppliers in the development, integration, and testing of cooling, power generation and distribution systems related to HAPSS.

Job requirements

Your luggage

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) is required. Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of test and measurement instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Knowledge of safety standards for software and complex electronic hardware is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in novel system development engineering surroundings.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Hydrogen storage – hydrogen distribution, Fuel Cell Systems, High Voltage Design, Combined HV and LV Architecture, DC/DC and AC/DC Power Conversion, Wire Harnesses, EMI Mitigation, Electric Motors, Industrial PLC experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex engineering challenges and deliver timely solutions.
  • System specs, traceability, and verification infrastructure knowledge.
  • System functional test plans, including software testing and verification.
  • System safety assessments, failure hazard analysis, and certification test plans.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working under pressure in a small high performing team.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers and industry events.
  • Occasional travel in and out of country to supplier/partner sites.
