We are currently recruiting for a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join a major offshore energy project in Rotterdam.
This is a great opportunity to work with an international offshore energy company on a long-term Oil & Gas project, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and technically robust engineering solutions.
The Role
You will provide Materials & Corrosion engineering support across your assigned project scope, working closely with other engineering disciplines, vendors and subcontractors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and optimising Materials & Corrosion engineering solutions.
- Supporting material selection and piping materials activities.
- Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
- Working to international codes, standards and industry regulations.
- Supporting concept development and detailed design.
- Managing engineering deliverables, interfaces and project priorities.
- Coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and third parties.
- Supporting procurement, fabrication and manufacture activities where required.
- Providing technical guidance to engineers within your area of responsibility.
- Taking technical responsibility for an assigned package or scope where required.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong EPC company experience is essential.
- Degree/diploma in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong Materials & Corrosion Engineering experience.
- Good knowledge of piping materials and material selection.
- Experience with engineering design and calculation tools.
- Experience across concept development and detailed design.
- Good understanding of engineering systems and interfaces.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and Oil & Gas standards.
- Strong planning, coordination and communication skills.
- Previous experience working on projects in Europe is required.
Desirable
- Offshore project experience.
- Previous experience with an international EPC contractor.
- Package engineering experience.
- Experience providing technical guidance to other engineers.

Candidates already based in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe, particularly those available at short notice, will be prioritised due to the ASAP start.
