About the Role

Arturo Palomba Gallery LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Art Advisory & Family Office Relations to develop the Gallery's relationships with private collectors, entrepreneurs, family offices and professional advisers.

Based in Geneva, the successful candidate will combine sophisticated private-client relationship management with contemporary-art knowledge and strong commercial judgement.

The position will focus on developing long-term relationships rather than transactional sales alone.

The Director will help private clients identify artists and artworks, develop collections and access selected opportunities within the Gallery's international programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with private collectors and family offices.
  • Build a qualified network of prospective international clients.
  • Introduce collectors to selected contemporary artists and artworks.
  • Advise clients regarding acquisitions and collection development.
  • Organise confidential private presentations and viewings.
  • Develop individual art proposals based on client interests.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing collectors.
  • Identify new acquisition and private-sale opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with private bankers, wealth managers, lawyers and professional advisers.
  • Establish referral relationships with relevant professional networks.
  • Coordinate client activity with Gallery management.
  • Develop opportunities across Switzerland, France, Italy and the Middle East .
  • Maintain structured client and opportunity information within the Gallery CRM.
  • Represent the Gallery at selected international art fairs and private events.
  • Contribute directly to the Gallery's international commercial development.

Experience Required

Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience , preferably within:

  • Art Advisory
  • International Art Galleries
  • Auction Houses
  • Family Offices
  • Private Banking
  • Wealth Management
  • Private Client Services
  • Collectibles
  • Premium Client Development

Direct art-market experience is highly desirable, although exceptional private-client professionals from adjacent sectors will also be considered.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong experience managing sophisticated private clients
  • Excellent relationship-development capabilities
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of contemporary art and international collecting
  • Ability to build trusted long-term professional relationships
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality
  • Independent and entrepreneurial approach
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Professional working proficiency in French
  • Italian, German and/or Arabic are considered valuable additional languages
  • Availability to work full-time on-site in Geneva
  • Availability for international business travel

Performance Objectives

The variable component will be linked to measurable objectives including:

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a professional who understands that significant private-client relationships are built through credibility, discretion and consistent long-term attention .

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable discussing contemporary art with a collector, presenting an acquisition opportunity to a family office and developing relationships with the professional advisers surrounding sophisticated international clients.

with broader responsibility for the Gallery's Swiss operations and international private-client development.
