Job description

SURAGUS GmbH develops, manufactures, and markets measurement and testing technology based on the eddy current testing method. The broad and high-frequency range of the EddyCus® systems allows for the testing of materials with conductivity ranging from very low to high. SURAGUS solutions are used for the characterization of thin films, fiber-reinforced composites, metals, alloys, semiconductors, ceramics, and plastics. Our customers use the EddyCus® systems for the characterization, process control, or quality assurance of various materials in a wide range of processes. SURAGUS is distinguished by a high degree of innovation, for which the company has been awarded several innovation prizes and honored with the title “German Hidden Champion.”

We are looking for you to join us immediately as a Technical Specialist for Innovative Measuring Instruments (m/f/d)!

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyzing measurement systems and performing outgoing goods inspections for our measurement systems
  • Technical customer service via phone or remote support
  • Documenting problems and solutions—your experience directly contributes to better products and better support
  • Verification of system functions and technical root cause analysis of faults
  • Commissioning and calibrating eddy current testing devices at our production facility and at customer sites (approx. 10% business travel per year)
  • Troubleshooting and repairs for urgent mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control system malfunctions

What You Bring to the Table

  • A completed apprenticeship in mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering, industrial mechanics, materials science, PTA, laboratory technician, power electronics technician, or a similar technical field— even as a recent graduate, you’re a great fit for us; professional experience is not required
  • Enjoy working with customers—you like to explain things, even when the subject matter gets technical or involves another languages
  • An interest in how materials for batteries, fuel cells, touchscreens, or smart glass are actually manufactured
  • A meticulous, well-documented approach to work
  • Enjoy learning how to use new software
