Job Designation – Project Coordinator + Design Architect – Interior Fit-Outs

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and support the execution of interior fit-out projects from commencement through completion and handover, under the direction of the Operation Manager

· Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and internal design/technical departments to ensure smooth project execution.

· Review contract drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of works, and project requirements and ensure proper coordination with site execution.

· Prepare, review, coordinate, and follow up on shop drawings, detailed drawings, coordination drawings, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details, wall elevations, flooring layouts, and other technical drawings required for project execution.

· Coordinate with draftsmen and technical teams to ensure shop drawings are prepared accurately and submitted in accordance with project requirements and programme.

· Review shop drawings prior to submission to ensure proper dimensions, levels, details, materials, interfaces, and coordination with other trades.

· Follow up with clients and consultants for timely approval of shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions.

· Coordinate Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FFE) requirements, including preparation/review of FFE schedules, specifications, layouts, material selections, finishes, furniture details, and supplier information.

· Monitor project progress against the approved programme and coordinate with site teams to ensure planned activities are completed on time.

· Assist the Project Engineer in preparing project schedules, progress reports, material procurement schedules, look-ahead programmes, and project updates.

· Coordinate procurement requirements with the procurement team and ensure materials and specialist items are ordered in line with approved drawings, programme, and site requirements.

· Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding drawings, material requirements, samples, production schedules, deliveries, and site installation.

· Conduct regular site inspections to verify that works are being executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, materials, and design intent.

· Identify design, technical, coordination, or site execution issues and work with the relevant teams to develop practical solutions.

· Coordinate architectural works with MEP, civil, structural, joinery, glass, metal, ceiling, flooring, and other specialist trades to avoid clashes and rework.

· Attend site, client, consultant, and coordination meetings and ensure that agreed actions are followed up and closed within the required timeframe.

· Assist in monitoring project quality and ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.

· Coordinate with the commercial/quantity surveying team regarding changes in scope, variations, additional works, and related technical documentation.

· Assist with project snagging, inspections, rectification works, testing, completion, and final handover.

· Maintain good working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project.

Requirements

· 4–7 years of relevant UAE/GCC experience in Interior Fit-Out, Architecture, Project Coordination, or a similar role.

· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

· Previous experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, or similar interior fit-out projects in UAE/GCC

· Good knowledge of interior fit-out construction, materials, finishes, joinery, ceilings, partitions, flooring, wall finishes, glazing, metal works, and basic MEP coordination.

· Strong understanding of architectural and interior fit-out drawings, shop drawings, details, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, layouts, and material schedules.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, or other design/visualization software would be an advantage.

· Good understanding of project planning, site coordination, procurement, quality control, and project documentation.

· Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to deal effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.

· Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.

· UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.

· UAE driving licence would be an advantage

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
