Dental Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment used in a modern dental laboratory.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that laboratory machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as with dental laboratory and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of dental laboratory equipment.
• Maintain and service equipment such as CAD/CAM milling machines, 3D printers, scanners, furnaces, compressors, dust extraction systems, vacuum systems, and other laboratory machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and software-related equipment issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Perform routine calibration, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment testing.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and external service providers when specialized technical support is required.
• Install and commission new laboratory equipment when required.
• Assist with equipment relocation, setup, and upgrades.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.
• Follow all manufacturer recommendations, safety procedures, and laboratory standards.
• Provide basic technical guidance and training to laboratory staff on proper equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the dental laboratory.

Requirements

• Electronics Engineer
• Technical diploma, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Previous experience maintaining laboratory, dental, medical, manufacturing, or precision equipment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Good computer skills and ability to work with equipment-related software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred ExperienceExperience with dental laboratory equipment, including:

• CAD/CAM milling systems

• Sintering and porcelain furnaces
• Air compressors and vacuum systems
