about us

Akelius Languages is an educational organization with offices in Berlin, Nicosia, Larnaca, and Limassol.

We are developing an application for learning languages and math.

We also produce books, board games, and other learning materials.

Our products are used by non-governmental organizations worldwide.

You will be based in our Berlin office,

located between Schöneberg, Kreuzberg, and Mitte.

who you are

We are looking for a highly organized individual with a degree in education, pedagogy or a related area.

At Akelius, we put a strong emphasis on non-traditional teaching and learning methods, like

  • learning through a variety of activities, including games
  • incorporating multiple senses in the learning process
  • leaving the classroom to complement the learning experience with the help of everyday objects
  • and many more

You are open-minded towards non-traditional pedagogical concepts, and ideally bring hands-on experience with them.

experience

  • at least 8 years of professional experience in pedagogy and teaching
  • excellent knowledge of didactics, pedagogy, educational methodology, learning principles and teaching methods
  • very good written and spoken English
  • passionate personality

key responsibilities

  • conceptualize, implement, and continuously enhance the pedagogical framework and principles at Akelius, in interaction with Akelius Foundation and potentially also directly with our founder

  • introduce external partner organizations to our educational framework and vision

  • oversee teaching activities from a pedagogical perspective

  • develop engaging online and analog teacher training content

  • review, edit, and optimize the quality, accuracy, and instructional effectiveness of our courses

  • ensure all content meets high standards of language, clarity, and relevance
