Role Summary

The Manager – Design & Jewelry Manufacturing plays a vital dual role at the intersection of creative direction and factory floor execution. You will oversee the artistic vision and commercial alignment of all new collections while managing the end-to-end manufacturing process. This role ensures that innovative design concepts translate into commercially successful, cost-optimized, and flawless physical products delivered on schedule.

As a Creative Designer, he/she will work for the artistic vision of our manufacturing facility, bridging the gap between global market trends and technical production. You will be responsible for conceptualizing new collections and ensuring our design team produces commercially viable, trend-setting jewelry.

Plays a vital role in Production Management by overseeing all manufacturing departments, ensuring seamless collaboration, high productivity, and operational efficiency. Managing order lifecycles, tracking progress, and promptly addressing any delays to meet deadlines. Prioritizing efficient material usage, resource allocation, and production optimization to minimize waste and maximize output. Additionally, ensuring proper tool management, enforce quality control, and oversee machinery maintenance to maintain smooth operations. Also handling complaints, resolve workflow issues, and ensure the timely completion of production processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Vision & Trend Intelligence

• Market & Trend Analysis: Conduct regular market research across Dubai and key international markets to identify emerging trends in regional preferences (e.g., Turkish, Italian, Kuwaiti styles, minimalist vs. statement pieces).
• Exhibition Intelligence: Attend major global trade shows (such as VicenzaOro, JCK, and JGT Dubai) to translate market observations into actionable design strategies.
• Brand Identity & DNA: Define and safeguard the factory’s unique design signature, ensuring new product ranges maintain high market differentiation and appeal.

2. Collection Conceptualization & Design Management

• Concept to Prototype: Direct the product creation cycle from initial mood boards, visual storyboards, and 2D/3D CAD renders to the approval of physical "Master Pieces."
• Seasonal Launch Planning: Manage the creative roadmap to align collection launches with key peak retail seasons (Eid, Diwali, Valentine’s, and wedding seasons).
• Design Briefs & Team Leadership: Issue structured creative briefs to the design team, conduct weekly design reviews, and mentor staff to foster innovation aligned with commercial goals.

3. Manufacturing Operations & Order Lifecycle

• Cross-Departmental Supervision: Direct daily production across casting, assembly, stone-setting, polishing, and finishing departments to ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Order Tracking & Delivery: Manage order lifecycles from initial job-bag creation to final dispatch, identifying bottlenecks early to guarantee strict adherence to delivery deadlines.
• Workflow Optimization: Prevent inventory or work-in-progress (WIP) gold from stalling in individual departments, ensuring steady movement across the floor.

4. Material Optimization, Yield & Cost Control

• Gold Loss & Waste Reduction: Enforce strict material controls and recovery practices to minimize gold scrap, metal loss, and material variance during manufacturing.
• Visual-to-Weight Ratio: Guide designers to create "big-look" pieces with optimized metal weight to maximize gross margins without compromising structural integrity or purity standards.
• Resource Allocation: Ensure timely distribution of components (findings, beads, chains, plates) to production lines to avoid idle machine time.

5. Quality Assurance, Tools & Plant Maintenance

• Aesthetic & Quality Control: Establish rigorous benchmark standards for surface finishing, stone setting, and durability, ensuring defect-free output.
• Equipment & Tool Management: Monitor machine efficiency, track tool and consumable consumption, and arrange prompt repairs for defective machinery to minimize downtime.
• Root-Cause Problem Solving: Investigate workflow disruptions, product defects, or management complaints, implementing permanent corrective actions.

6. Additional Duties

• Perform other tasks assigned by the Reporting Manager or Top Management as necessary to meet organizational goals.

This position demands a high level of attention to detail, Production & technical proficiency throughout the Manufacturing process with efficient team management skills and a deep understanding of the gold jewelry designing and after post process to ensure operational quality excellence.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Collection Hit Rate: Percentage of designed concepts selected for full production and high sales volume.
• Production Turnaround Time: Speed of execution from design brief sign-off to final sample completion.
• Gold Yield & Waste Efficiency: Adherence to scrap limits and target gold weight specifications per unit.
• On-Time Delivery Rate: Percentage of client and production orders completed within the agreed timeline.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Gold Jewelry Manufacturing and Marketing within the GCC region.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Deep practical knowledge of gold alloy manufacturing, casting, CAD/CAM workflows, matrix setup, and finishing techniques.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record in managing cross-functional design and technical manufacturing teams.
• Professional Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing successful commercial collections, personal designs, sketch and art works.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
