Junior React & Next.js Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior React & Next.js Developer to join our development team in Dubai on a 3-month contractual assignment .

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of modern frontend development using React.js and Next.js , along with working knowledge of Node.js, APIs, Git/GitHub, and modern web development practices .

This role is suitable for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and available to join immediately .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and Next.js .
• Build reusable frontend components and implement UI designs accurately.
• Work with Next.js routing, Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and API integrations .
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services .
• Work with Node.js for basic backend development, API integrations, and server-side requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-structured code.
• Use Git and GitHub for source-code management, branching, pull requests, and collaboration.
• Debug and resolve frontend and integration-related issues.
• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility .
• Work closely with senior developers, designers, QA, and project teams to deliver project requirements within defined timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

Required Skills

• Good hands-on knowledge of React.js .
• Good understanding of Next.js and its core concepts.
• Working knowledge of Node.js .
• Strong understanding of JavaScript / ES6+ .
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 .
• Familiarity with TypeScript will be preferred.
• Experience working with REST APIs / JSON .
• Sound knowledge of Git and GitHub .
• Understanding of responsive web development.
• Familiarity with package managers such as npm or yarn .
• Basic understanding of web performance, SEO-friendly development, and browser debugging tools.
• Ability to understand existing codebases and make changes efficiently.

Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant development experience preferred.
• Candidates with strong practical React/Next.js project experience will also be considered.
• Previous experience working on production web applications is an advantage.

Contract & Visa Requirements

• This is a 3-month contractual role based in Dubai .
• Candidate must be available for immediate joining .
• Candidate must have their own valid UAE visa / residency and appropriate work authorization for the duration of the contract.
• Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this contractual position.
• Candidate should currently be available in the UAE and able to work on-site in Dubai .

Preferred

• Experience with Next.js 14/15+ and App Router .
• Understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and server/client components .
• Familiarity with cloud deployments such as AWS or Vercel .
• Basic understanding of databases and backend APIs.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and technical SEO.
• Experience working in an Agile or fast-paced project environment.
